COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAM

Our comprehensive eye exam encompasses evaluation of the anterior segment and posterior segment of your eye to detect cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, UV damage, and meibomian glands, measurements of the surface of the cornea, conducting visual acuity tests to prescribe the best-corrected vision, testing color vision, eye muscle movements, pupillary response test, and checking eye pressure and visual field screening.

An annual eye exam is important for detecting early stages of eye disease that may rarely manifest symptoms such as glaucoma and retinal diseases.

CONTACT LENS FITTING

CONTACT LENS FITTING with soft lenses containing hydrogel and GP lenses composing rigid plastic that may provide sharper images in patients with corneal diseases such as keratoconus. At our office, we give patients up to 60 days from the original exam date to complete the CL exam without additional fee in the event, our patient is unsuccessful in inserting or removing the CLs.

EYE DISEASE DIAGNOSIS

Eye diseases are common and can be detected and treated. Some common eye diseases include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and retinal diseases such as retinal hole, tear, detachment, tumor, and retinitis pigmentosa.

At our office, we can treat common eye conditions such as red eye, corneal ulcer (except large central ulcer), corneal abrasion, foreign body, conjunctivitis, double vision, and dry eyes. It’s important to maintain a healthy gut microbiome to prevent many eye diseases. Regular exercise, protection from UV light, and avoiding smoking are also important for promoting good circulation and reducing the risk of chronic eye diseases.

DIGITAL RETINAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGY

Our fully automated Focus TRC NW400 non-mydriatic retinal camera provides us with high-resolution, true-color images to review the health of your retina. Anterior photography allows for a much more detailed eye examination, which is critical in detecting early signs of eye conditions. This also gives a clearer picture of the progression or changes in the eye conditions over time. Pachymetry is used to measure the thickness of the cornea when diagnosing or treating glaucoma, corneal diseases such as corneal hydrops, Fuchs’ dystrophy, and keratoconus, and for pre-LASIK evaluation.
